The quantum key distribution network simulator (QKDNetSim) is a simulation software for quantum key distribution with post-processing emulation support. It is develoepd as a simulation module that extends the NS-3 network simulator with QKD network functionality. The main purpose of the network simulator is to analyze different approaches to QKD network organization and to simulate networking technologies, including the integration of QKD systems into existing telecommunications networks, with a focus on network security.
QKDNetSim implements the full functional Key Management System (KMS) with key-relay functionality supporting ETSI GS QKD 014 and ETSI GS QKD 004 key delivery interfaces. More information is at the website.
Web interface is publicly available via www.open-qkd.eu
Development of QKDNetSim was supporty within project #VJ01010008 “Network Cybersecurity in Post-Quantum Era” by the Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic in program Impakt, Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Canton Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (27-02-35-37082-1/23), NATO SPS G5894 project ”Quantum Cybersecurity in 5G Networks (QUANTUM5)” and H2020 project OPENQKD (No. 857156).

This ns-3 extension is one or more contributed modules.
